greentech.brussels is the gateway for green projects from hub.brussels, Agence Bruxelloise pour l’Accompagnement de l’Entreprise (ABAE), created on 1 January 2018 as the result of the merger of Atrium.brussels, Bruxelles Invest & Export and Impulse.brussels.
The role of greentech.brussels is to provide free advice and guidance to start-ups and companies active in the environment and/or sustainable energy sectors as well as those who adopt a sustainable or circular economic model. To access this advice, companies must be located in the Brussels-Capital region or intend to set up there.
The team comprises 6 people with multi-disciplinary skills (technical and management).
hub.brussels also houses the activities of ecobuild.brussels, a cluster bringing together Brussels stakeholders in construction and sustainable renovation (see their website) and is a partner of the COOPCITY project, a centre for social, cooperative and collaborative entrepreneurship.
greentech.brussels supports entrepreneurs with projects that have a technological component or not, in connection with the environment, energy, sustainability and circular economy and which aim to deploy their activities throughout the Brussels-Capital region and even abroad. These companies can belong to any business sector.
greentech.brussels has three main missions:
- Providing individual support for preparing the business strategy, the business model, the business plan, the financial plan, the market study, the international search for partners, etc.
- Offering collective support with the acceleration programme for environmental and circular start-ups – greenlab.brussels – and the implementation of circular projects of mini clusters
- Providing strategic information and highlighting environmental and circular actions via the organisation of seminars, round tables, etc. and various means of communication (website, social media, newsletters,…)
